Here is Ghoti Filleter, my Shavian transliteration program.

Please bear in mind that this is a quickly cobbled-together release. It was written several years ago using Delphi version 2.0 under Windows 98 and recompiled today using Delphi version 7.0 under Windows XP. I've made a few tiny changes to the project files, and it works on my computer now -- but it might not work on yours for reasons I haven't thought of.

Before you can use the program, you'll need to install the Borland Database Engine, which I think can be had from here: ftp://ftpc.borland.com/pub/bde/devsupport/updates/bde511en.exe

If I make another version, it won't require the user to install other software.

I think the biggest headache caused by use of this program is that once it gets it into its head that it's going to transliterate a file, it bloody well is going to transliterate it, whether you like it or not. If it asks you to enter homonyms, you have to enter all the homonyms it wants, and you have to continue to the end of the document: there's no way to cancel out of the process. That's another thing that would be addressed in the putative next version.

Just thought I'd upload it as a matter of interest, given the recent discussion in the forum.

Oh, and you'll also need the font Lionspaw.ttf, which you can get from here: www.saytheword.org.uk/shavian/fonts.html
